Overview
The Gosaikunda Lake Trek is one of the most rewarding short trekking adventures in Nepal. Located inside Langtang National Park, the trail leads to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake at an altitude of 4,380 metres. Revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, the lake attracts thousands of pilgrims each year while also offering spectacular Himalayan scenery.
The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche before following forest trails through traditional Tamang villages, peaceful monasteries, and alpine meadows. As the trail climbs higher, dense forests gradually give way to open ridges with panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and Manaslu.
